“You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind”.
Matthew 22:37
Sunday services are about an hour long followed by time for fellowship in the Vestry. Dorset Church is part of the United Church of Christ denomination which is considered one of the mainline Protestant denominations. You can expect a flow of worship that begins with gathering before God, attending to God’s word proclaimed in sermon and Holy Communion, prayers for our world, especially those in need, receiving an offering to care for others, and then being sent to be a Christ-shaped people in the world. Our worship is punctuated with hymn-singing, using hymns and songs from a variety of musical styles, and with anthems and offertories by our adult choir.
